2

Permit & Utility Check

We handle permit applications where required and call 811 to mark underground utilities before any digging starts.

Posts are set in concrete at proper depth for NJ frost lines — the most critical part of a fence that stays straight for years.

Panels, pickets, or fabric are installed and leveled. All old materials are hauled away. We do a final walkthrough with you before we leave.

WHY CHOOSE US

WHY NJ HOMEOWNERS CHOOSE PILLATI GC

01

Proper Post Depth

Most fence failures start at the post. We set posts below the NJ frost line — 36 to 42 inches — so your fence stays straight through freeze-thaw cycles year after year.

02

Licensed & Insured

We are fully licensed and insured in New Jersey. No liability falls on you. We can provide documentation before any work begins.

03

We Handle Permits

Most NJ towns require a fence permit. We know the local codes and can handle the permit process so you don’t have to deal with the paperwork.

04

Grade Changes? No Problem

Sloped yards require racking or stepping panels. We know how to handle both and make your fence look clean regardless of the terrain.

05

Full Debris Removal

Old fence removal and haul-away is included. We leave your yard cleaner than we found it — always.

06

Family Owned & Honest

When Pillati shows up, you get people who stand behind their name. We give honest quotes and never upsell you on things you don’t need.

COMMON QUESTIONS

FENCE FAQ

Do I need a permit to install a fence in NJ?

Most New Jersey municipalities require a fence permit, especially for fences over 4 feet on the front of the property or 6 feet in the back. We check your town’s requirements and can assist with the permit application process.

Most residential fence jobs are completed in 1–2 days. Larger properties or jobs requiring significant post-curing time may take a bit longer. We’ll give you a clear timeline in your estimate.

PVC privacy panels offer the best combination of full coverage, durability, and low maintenance. Wood shadowbox and board-on-board privacy fences are also popular for a more natural look.

Sloped yards are very common in NJ. We use racking (angling panels to follow the slope) or stepping (descending in level sections) depending on the material and look you want. We’ll show you both options.

How deep do you set fence posts?

We set posts a minimum of 36–42 inches deep — below the NJ frost line. This is critical for preventing heaving and leaning over time. Posts are set in concrete for maximum stability.

Yes — demo and haul-away of your existing fence is included in every installation quote unless otherwise specified. We leave the job site clean.

Absolutely. We install single and double swing gates, slide gates, and self-latching/self-closing pool gates in all fence materials. Custom widths are available for vehicles or equipment access

We stand behind our labor on every installation. Most PVC and aluminum materials also come with manufacturer warranties. We’ll outline all warranty coverage in your written estimate.
